With reference to Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister's despatch No.217 of 6th June, 1935, I have the honour to forward
copies of two resolutions regarding Loan Works which were passed by the Legislative Council on 5th September, 1935, and to request that they may receive your approval.

The first resolution relates to further expenditure of $2,771,371 on account of Loan Works being met from surplus balances during the financial year 1935, pending the issue of
a loan.
3.
The second resolution relates to the increase in the amount allotted to the Vehicular Ferry to $78,000 from $25,000 as provided in the schedule of Loan Works annexed to
the Estimates for 1935. In this connection attention is invited

to my despatch No. 387 of 19th June, 1935, regarding certain
transfers in that schedule.
4.
The circumstances connected with these resolutions
are fully explained in the speech of the Colonial Treasurer to
the Council, copy of which is enclosed.
